A downloadable game for Windows

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD

Your character “Brian Nomed” went through a rough divorce after his wife cheated on him, so he turned to a variety of drugs and alcohol as a coping mechanism. Brian must battle the demons within his drug induced mind to free him from his depression. Each demon is based off of a traumatic event in his life and using progressively stronger drugs he must go deeper into his subconscious to defeat them.

This game is a demo and proof of concept for our full game of the same name. Any and all feedback is appreciated to help us improve for the full game!

Apologies for not being able to play it in the browser, the WebGL build was having audio issues that we couldn't fix but it works in the downloadable version of the game, hopefully we can fix this in the future!

So sick. The artwork is really cool and the animations were all great especially the running animation. The music was unreal especially the death screen. Kinda annoying how you couldn't skip the boss fight dialogue, also it sounded like he said he was coming???

The boss fight was pretty cool. The second phase had me stuck for a while and the death screen roasting me almost made me quit but we made it in the end.

At first I thought the alcohol / painkillers would just change the ultimate but then when I saw the bullets and movement changed too I thought it was class. Very cool mechanic.

Sometimes the movement felt too sensitive to be precise. Like when I was jumping in between spikes I kept overadjusting and getting hit. Maybe I just need to wait for the super easy baby gamemode on release.

Overall the level was tricky but with the checkpoints and power ups it was doable and really rewarding. The game looked and sounded great and the dialogue was pretty funny even if it was a little cringe.  Obviously it's early days but I thought it was a lot of fun and I look forward to the next update.
